Bishop James Alexander Darling

Bishop James Alexander Darling

Current Owner of Noah's Tzohar

Bishop James Alexander Darling, was born on August 4th, 1953, as James Alexander Darling, as the youngest son of the marriage between the late Japheth Professor Darling and Kathleen Elizabeth Marshall-Darling, as child number nine of eleven children in total. Japheth Darling died on Whit Monday, 1960, the cause of death being a sun stroke with drowning. He died in less than three feet of water on Long Wharf Beach, located in Nassau, Bahamas. Japheth senior had a habit of floating for long periods of time on the sea, and often slept while floating on the sea. On that day, while he slept on the sea, half of him became hot from the sun, and the other half of him was cold from lying in the sea. He had a sunstroke and then sank to the bottom of less than three feet of salt water and drowned. He was found dead by his six-year-old son, James.  James Darling was educated at the Harold Road School.

In school, he was always sixty pounds and did not gain weight until after graduating from school.  Due to his small size as a child, he was often picked on in school; his older brother (the late Edison Darling) used to have James practice daily, hitting a croker sack full of sand, the result James developed a young hard knock out punch. As times came when he was picked on in school, James became known as a one-punch knockout artist with over 50 knockouts before graduating from school at the age of thirteen. After graduating from school at thirteen, James continued to self teach himself fighting. James then took his first job as an Electrician's Assistant at Taylor's Industries while attending night school and became a licensed Electrician with passes in both single and three phases at thirteen years old. In his spare time, James would often go out to the beachside between Fort Charlotte and Long Wharf Beach both in Nassau, Bahamas in the same area, where he strapped and tied up trees with a sponge and old bicycle tubes, which he often used for striking, they stayed there for years, that was his home away from home punching bag. One day, while training, near the beach, on Fort Charlotte, he was approached by a Japanese man, who was a tourist, simply on vacation, visiting the Bahamas for the first time. He told James that he liked his movements, and asked him who was training him. James told the man no one was training him, he does it on his own; his older brother used to train him, but he left to go on another family island for work. The man introduced himself as Master Oyama, a tenth-degree black belt and founder of his own style of fighting. Master Oyama was a three-time world champion and known in the martial arts world as the master of the iron fist, aka "the Bull Killer."

                                                                          Masutatu Oyama

Master Oyama trained by knocking out bulls in preparation for his matches. In 1952, Oyama traveled to the United States for a month, during this time he engaged in 270 matches against boxers, wrestlers, and other martial artists, reportedly he defeated them all of them with a single blow each. He famously fought 52 bulls, and killed three bulls instantly with a single punch, and breaking the horns of 49 bulls with his bare open knife hand strike. Master Oyama also competed three times in the 100 man Kumite and won three times in a row, most wins were by knockouts. Mr. Oyama asked James Darling at thirteen years old did where he lived, James told him, and Mr. Oyama drove James home to his mother, and told her that he would like to train James. His mother told Master Oyama that she has eleven children, her husband is dead, and she cannot afford it. Master Oyama replied to Mrs. Darling that he would train James for free, and offered to have James attend his martial arts school as a student of his in either of his schools in New York or in Japan. James also had another older brother named Kingsbury (now deceased) residing in New York, United States of America. James's mother said to him. If that is what you want to do, then fine, James accepted, and went to live with his brother Kingsbury while attending Master Oyama's school in New York. Master Oyama started Jame off at a green belt level at 13. By age 14, he became a black belt specializing in multiple styles, but his favorite style is Combat Karate.

Years later, still residing in New York, James attended the Columbia School of Radio broadcasting, now known as Columbia University, graduating at the "O" level with a degree in Radio broadcasting. He then worked for Channel 10 News as a Radio Broadcaster. Upon his return to the Bahamas in the late 1970s, James Darling was shocked when he saw that his board game design, which he invented at the age of nine not quite ten which he called "Fun In The Bahamas" was being used without his permission as the National Flag design of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. His oldest sister Carolyn aka Betty-Darling Storr (now deceased) registered it for Copyright on behalf of James on the 2nd day of January 1964 who was still a minor then. The country of the Bahamas did not have Copyright in 1964, thought his application was approved and reserved for Copyright. The following year in 1965 the Industrial Properties Act (Bahamas) was written and pass by the Bahamian Government which covered Copyright, James Darling's Copyright file 105 was acknowledge as approved on the 2nd day of February, 1964 by the Bahamas Government Registrar General's Office.  This meant the Bahamas Government chose to willfully infringe on a copyrighted design previously existing in their own registry more than ten years prior. The Bahamas Government when they were seeking a design for the National flag had persons go to the Registry and take all of the designs that was in the Registry and brought them to the old Government High Building now known as the University Of The Bahamas where James Darling's copyrighted design was stolen and used as the National flag design of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, only a meaning was added to the colors, but Copyright was applied for in the whole design, and Copyright was issued in the whole design, and the design itself was and still is copyrighted. Copyright in the Bahamas once granted, is good for the artist's entire lifetime plus seventy years after the artist is dead, and James Darling is still very much alive and well.

James Darling as an adult went back into the Registrar General's Office in the early 1980s and reapplied for Patent and to obtain his actual complete Copyright Certificate on his game design, Fun In The Bahamas. Years went by no response came, so he went back and reapplied again, in July 1988, the same Registrar General was there (and is still alive today) he told James Darling he cannot issue him Copyright and Patent for that design because that design is being used as the National Flag of the country of the Bahamas. James Darling showed that particular Registrar General a copy of the 1964 approval by the Bahamas Registrar General's Office in his name exclusively for that design, as his personal board game, and an unopened sealed registered envelope dated 1964 which that Registrar opened up himself in July 1988, and saw the design, and went and conducted his own research, and found the 1964 approval and submission, preserving that same design for Copyright submitted on behalf of James Darling, upon completion then issued James Darling in 1989 a Certificate for Design Copyright Number 105 for Fun In The Bahamas base off the 1964 documents in the registry. This is the design illegally being used by the Bahamas Government as the National Flag of The Bahamas, and Patent number 926 is for the same invention, his copyright is protected in over 180 countries.
Many promises for Copyright compensation were made over the years by numerous Prime Ministers of the Bahamas to James Darling in private which include, including Former Prime Minister Pindling in the 1970s, Former Prime Minister Ingraham in the mid 2000's, and Former Minister of National Security Marvin Dames, who met in a meeting which took place at the Ministry of National Security in the presence of Bishop Darling, and many others, and Bishop Darling's Attorney on behalf of former Prime Minister Hubert Minnis in 2022 and that negotiation meeting was recorded, and still none of these Prime Ministers followed through on their own promise for settlement on this matter.
Meanwhile, during the late 1970s, was employed briefly as an Insurance Agent in the Bahamas, then transitioned and became employed at Her Majesty's Prison in Nassau, Bahamas. There, he became in charge of the Riot Squad at the Prison, and the Electrical Department. James at his time working at the Prison, was known for offering peaceful, calm conversations with inmates rather than hurting them. He would often teach Bahamian inmates Electrical work or basic music, so by the time interested inmates came out of Prison they would have a trade, and likely not return to prison ever again. For the foreign inmates, those interested, he also taught them electrical work as well, and inmates in exchange would teach James how to speak their foreign language; as a result, James learnt and became fluent in five languages. By the 1980s, James got a secondment to the Royal Bahamas Defense Force (Military).

There, in a training accident coming down some wet steps, he broke his leg, which the Defense Force Doctor ordered him to stay on base for treatment, with a cast on. One day, on the Defense Force base, shortly after this incident, the top two Combat Instructors at the Defense Force base at the time came to James Darling and ordered him to come to work for them, when their Doctor had instructed him to stay and rest with his then recent injury. James refused, and one of them locked the door, and both attacked James in the locked room. James beat both of them and threw them out a second-storey window.

Those two men got up and ran to the Commodore to report James for punishment. When James got to the Commodore's office, coming in on crutches with a cast on a broken leg, and the Commodore saw it and realized that his two Combat Military Instructors on the base got beat and toss out of a second storey window by a man with a broken leg, he pulled James's file and saw that he was two degrees higher in martial artist than both of them and instead of punishing James Darling, he promoted him, and that was how James Darling became the Combat Instructor at the Royal Bahamas Defense Force base in the 1980s training all of the marines including them two how to fight. James Darling also became in charge of the Electrical Department, and the Leading Interpreter as well at the Royal Bahamas Defense Force Base.

To stay ahead of his military squad e was training, James built another invention which he called the Darling Super Suit in the 1980s. This invention is a full body fully adjustable training suit which uses both springs or resistant stretch band, it acts as a full body training resistant suit. Because of the springs and bands, a person training in this suit becomes a much faster and stronger human being naturally over time. At one point James even went and tried out for the Bahamas Olympic team in all track and field events, James invented and built an invention sports training equipment for every Olympic sport in track and field, he even built a wooden bowflex machine before the bowflex machine was even invented. James ran for his training, wearing both the Darling Super Suit, and a customised vest he built with straps tied onto it, dragging four airplane size tires filled with dried heavy cement in them, and he clocked a 9 second flat record in the 100 meters race. Bahamas Olympic team Officials refused to accept his time and didn't put him on the team. He was told "we know you are loaded on steroids, we don't even have to test you."
Heartbroken, it wasn't shortly after that, that while out to sea patrolling the Royal Bahamas boat HMBS Fort Charlotte, Cuba blew another Royal Bahamas Defense Force boat out of the water killing those marines in the 1980s, then flew over their boat, and opened the hatch, and was about to boomed them, when United States Coast Guards appeared even higher up on top of the Cuban Aircraft and threaten Cuba to blow them out of existence, if they touch that boat, and the Cuban mink left. The HMBS Fort Charlotte boat had a blow engine, and the United States Coast Guard stayed with them, until their engineer James fixed it, and US Coast Guard followed the HMBS Fort Charlotte boat all the way back till they made it back to the Royal Defense Force Base in one piece and the story broke that day that Cuba killed those men,  and they were still in Bahamian waters, that second boat only came to help HMBS Fort Charlotte what had the blown engine.
On another boating trip on the HMBS Fort Charlotte boat, this time while patrolling the deck in a storm out to sea, the boat lifted out of the water and luckily it landed and stayed in the same spot with the engines on, when it was in gear and was supposed to be moving, James Darling was left about thirty-feet in the air and came down on his back peddling and landed across two steel pipes on the deck and it broke his back. That same night after the stormed cleared, they had to intercept a boat filled with armed illegal immigrants and needed every man on the boat. He told the other officers he fell and broke his back the rest of them did not believe him, James took off his coverall tied it around his waist as tight as he could got up and walked carrying a submachine gun, boarded the other ship and was calmly was able to convince the crew to surrender, he arrested 86 men that night without one bullet being fired.
When  James got back to the Royal Bahamas Defense Force base, he went straight to the Doctor on base, and told him what had happened. The Doctor took an X-ray of James's back and confirmed in the report that James had broken his back in three places and called for a chair and stretcher for him immediately, because he should not be standing yet alone walking into a Doctor's Office with a broken back in three places. James Darling never did get compensation from the Bahamas government for his broken back injury. This was due to a white British high ranking Commander on the Force named Commander King who held James's file in his office for over 25 years other officers found it only after Commander King had retired and those who were on the force back then and remembered James Darling contacted him and gave him it, but statute of limitations had already gone so he was never compensated for this injury.

Commander King had a habit of verbally insult the black officers below him on the force all the time with racial comments. Prior to this accident, one day while scrubbing the outside of the docked HMBS Fort Charlotte boat, Commander King saw James scrubbing the boat, and walked up to him and started cursing him out. James looked around and he didn't see anybody else this time, it was just the two of them out there on the dock alone, and he punch Commander King so hard that guy he flew over the entire opposite side of the dock and into the ocean and James ran he was gone. By the time Commander King got out of the water, James had already ran to the other end of the base, and climbed up the outside of the wall of a three storey dormitory building, took off his shoes and was laying in the bed playing like he was asleep, and in the next room was full of marines playing cards, nobody saw when James had left, and nobody saw when James snook back in because he came through the window not the door. Commander King came to the door furious and soaking wet blaming James, and everyone there told Commander King with a straight honest face that it couldn't have been James, he was sleeping the entire time and is still sleeping.
After the broken back James was given an honorary discharge because the Royal Bahamas Defense Force Doctor believed that he would never walk again, and could definitely not perform his duties as an Military Combat Instructor anymore. He had only one child before the broken back, and he has six now.
James began preaching and has been a preacher for over forty-years now, and is still making inventions, he has about 200 inventions with about 30 plus Copyrights and or Patents. In 2010 his son Joshua said to him, "daddy you do not think that you've waited long enough for this government on their promises to compensate you, they're waiting for you to drop dead, put them in court, sue them. If you drop dead and I got to sue them I wouldn't have no mercy on this government at all, they're lucky they're dealing with you, I don't have your patience." And in 2010, James Darling  placed the Bahamas Government in court for failure to follow through on their own promises of commitment of settlement with him for their illegal and continuous Copyright infringement on his copyrighted design number with Copyright number 105 in the Bahamas Registry known as "Fun In The Bahamas, the government of the Bahamas has refused to allow him to pay to renew his Patent 926, but the Copyright protection is good for his entire lifetime which he is still alive plus seventy years after death. The Supreme Court of the Bahamas has so far in 2020 and in 2023 issued two partial judgements in James Darling's favor on this case which are published by the Bahamas Supreme Court on the Bahamas Supreme Court's website for everyone in the world to see, and is free of charge to view. Should be one more coming.

People often ask Bishop Darling on the marble stone as thousands of people in Nassau, Bahamas, knows he owns it, but know of it as an ancient marble table top, and often asks him, what he would do with the money if he money if he were to get it sold. He would often reply to everyone saying the same thing seeing thousands have asked him this question over the years, his answer was always "when God allow me to get it sold, I am going to use the money to bless other people with it locally and internationally." Even after authentication of the stone as the original Noahic Tzohar, Bishop Darling still feels and says the same "when God allow me to get it sold, I would use the money to be a blessing to others."
